The railway station of this famous tourist destination is located directly at the shore of Lake Lucerne.
The fist railway station was built in 1856. After a disastrous fire in 1971 the current building was created and finished in 1990. This station connects lines to destinations in Central Switzerland as well as the main transit routes in North-South direction.
