This route connects upstate New York with upstate Vermont. Route is about 13 miles across, and takes an hour. Large and small ferries alternate landing, and space is available for everything from pedestrians to tractor-trailers. Boats include walking/viewing areas, snack bars and bathrooms. All aspects of my crossings have been smooth and enjoyable. I have always been impressed with the nice equipment, and highly professional work of the boat crews and dockhands. I recommend this ride, even as a side-trip if you are in the area! The LCT company also conducts waterfront cruises/tours on the VT side.
