Situated on SH.1. the main street running through Tirau, the Quilt Cottage is instantly recognisable by its bright pink corrugated iron heart-shaped sign, amongst other corrugated iron signs in Tirau - the town of Corrugated Iron Art.
This little shop, a quilter's paradise, is a treasure trove of colourful fabrics and quilting accessories. With loads of example quilts and other crafted items on display, there is plenty to inspire those with a gift for craft work.
Kitsets with patterns and fabrics are available for many items. Tuition classes are also available, see the website.
