Known locally as The Incline the path up the mountainside is so steep that an adjacent zig-zag path was built to provide access to the top where Llyn Coedty Reservoir can be viewed.

There are so many steep steps that we lost count, way over a hundred and they can be slippery in the wet. We found the steps by completing the excellent and one of the best geocaches we have done by scottpa100 & Daddykins called You're Climbing the Stairway to Hidden GC1728M.

The steps appear as a vertical slope when viewed from below and vary from foot wide steps to three foot wide steps, some being worn away altogether.

The steps lead between the Dolgarrog pipes which completely tower over you with their huge dimensions. The pipes are still used today to provide power to the power station below.

If anyone can count the steps we would be intrigued to know how many we climbed!
