Bruce and Sheila is old fashioned Australian vernacular for a man and a woman. Bruce and Sheila may well be the type of people who spend a lot of their time perched on a bar stool at the local hotel!
The recommended time for the 9km return walk to the top of Mt Bruce is six hours. The vertical ascent from the carpark is approximately 500m. The weather can be hot depending on the time of the year. Carry a plenty of water and lots of chocolate for the children.
Mt Bruce is in Karijini national park. At the top there are great views.
