Located on Richfield Rd near Bringle Ferry Rd it is easily spotted by the graffiti painted by local teenagers. The beginning and ending are also marked by lines across the road.
According to the legend, a mother was driving with her young child on Richfield Road when the car stalled. The woman got out to push the vehicle to safety when a truck came along and hit and killed them both.
As a teenager I visited the hill and experienced it. The story says to put baby powder on the hood and you will see hand prints when you get to the top. I didn’t try that. I didn’t try it this time as I was on the motorcycle.
Being the nerd I am, I checked the altitude on the GPS and the “bottom” of the hill is at 684 ft and the “top” is 667 ft. As I suspected, it’s an optical illusion, no ghost needed.
