This is Shallow Crossing on the Clyde River, where the tidal salt-water from downstream meets the freshwater from upstream.
There is a huge camping area only a stone's throw from the southern side of the crossing.
The water is refreshingly cool, especially on a hot Summer's day like today, where there were many people enjoying themselves.
