This memorial is a nice setting just off of the jogging path running next to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. The memorial is concrete with a stone plaque which reads: "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. PEACE-LOVE-BROTHERHOOD Dedicated to a man whose vision of freedom and equality for all people is embraced by our community. November 2000."

The monument also has a plaque on the side which reads: "The Sierra Vista City Council and the Arts and Humanities Commission gratefully acknowledge the assistance of the Greater Huachuca Area branch of the NAACP, The Organization of the African American Veterans, and the artistry of Courtney Dyer in the completion of this tribute."

The seating area is a great location to sit and enjoy the area. there are four benches to sit on, one of which is right in front of the monument, perfect for quiet contemplation of the memorial.
