Deep in the Nevada desert, approximately 90 miles north of Las Vegas, lies Area 51, a top-secret military facility which is part of Nellis Air Force Base. This facility does not appear on public U.S. government maps or the U.S. Geological Survey topological map, and the civil aviation chart for Nevada shows a large restricted space, but defines this only as part of Nellis' restricted area. Some UFO experts claim that Area 51 is the home of captured flying saucers and alien corpses, or perhaps even live aliens living and working alongside humans. But according to the government, none of this can be true because the area does not even exist.
