30 aircraft are displayed outdoors while inside covers the history of Ellsworth Air Force Base and the roll of South Dakota in various wars and peacetime military. There are bus tours of the Air Force Base during the Summer. To tour the base you will need a valid driver's license or passport for security check. The tour is not handicap accessible.
Inside they cover how Ellsworth supported various wars including the Berlin Airlift and Cuban Missile crisis.
This is a great break from the Rushmore mania and close to several great geocaches.
