The Column of the Virgin Mary Immaculate (In Czech: Morový sloup Neposkvrnené Panny Marie) is a Baroque jewel of Kutná Hora from the workshop of the Jesuit sculptor František Baugut. The column was created between 1713-1715 as a reaction to plague epidemy which struck Kutná Hora in 1713 and left thousands of victims behind. The top of the column is adorned by the statue of Immaculate Virgin Mary. Typically for Kutná Hora, it is decorated also by local occupation motifs -specifically by sculptures of miners.
