Wang Gu Lou Pagoda can easily be reached from the centre of Lijian Old Town - the Sifan Square. The 4-storey pagoda is located at Lion Hill in a small park and offers really excellent views over Lijiang and its neighbourhood.
If you will be lucky and everlasting clouds will dissolve, you will see on the north one of the most beautiful mountains of China, stunning Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yùlóngxue Shan). Its summit (5 596 m) is only 25 km away from you, but mostly hidden in the clouds... On the west is famous UNESCO-World Heritage listed Old Town of Lijiang with its grey-tile roofs, on the south and east modern district of the city. And everything is surrounded by very high mountains - do not forget, that you are in 2000 m above sea level...
