This linden tree can be found on the Isle of Mainau, a garden island in Lake Constance, Germany.
It was planted in 1862 by Grand Duke Friedrich I of Baden (September 9, 1826 – September 28, 1907) on the occasion of the birth of his daughter Princess Viktoria of Baden (7 August 1862 – 4 April 1930), later Queen Victoria of Sweden.
