The Women's Memorial Bell Tower at Cathedral of the Pines is a tribute to female contribution during conflict and combat. The shrine honors those women who served in uniform, those who provided aid to the troops on the battlefield, those who participated in the wartime production of gear and supplies, and those who stood ground at the homestead while men were away. These realities are captured each in a bronze relief, displayed over arches at the base of the tower. Within the base of the tower resides the "Tree of Life" fountain sculpture, and in the top of the tower are 2 bells and 2 carillons. The Cathedral of the Pines website is a rich source of information about this and the many other details found on the property. (visit link)
