I-93/Route 128 passes right by at the base of Great Blue Hill. It is a round, rocky hill with antennas protruding from the top. It may not be that impressive, but it is the highest point in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, and the highest point along the east coast of the United States south of the Camden Hills in Maine.

Though there is a fire road to the top, it is for authorized vehicles only. The way to the top is usually by hiking to the top. The elevation difference from the bottom to the top is only about 500 feet of varied terrain, so it is within reach for most people.

The summit marked by a flagpole with a triangular base. By the flag pole is the Blue Hill Observatory. If it is open for tours, usually on Saturdays, you can climb to the top of the tower and get great views of the Boston Metropolitan Area and Boston Harbor (small donation requested). A little ways away is Eliot Tower, which is another observation tower (no donation).
