Little Compton is a town in Newport County, Rhode Island. The main post office is in walking distance south-easterly of Rhode Island's only town common which has the form of a triangle.

The white church nearby is the United Congregational Church. The spire is listed as a benchmark. A stroll over the nearby cemetery is also very interesting. Take your time and try to find the grave of Elizabeth Pabodie, the eldest daughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins of the Mayflower. She was the first white woman born in New England.

Litte side note:
There is a blue sign at the north entrance of the main post office stating "SHIRT & SHOES REQUIRED". And what is with pants?
