This is a water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. The crest gage is attached to a support for the
Nevada Avenue bridge which crosses the creek at this point. Fountain Creek is one of the half-dozen sources of drinking water for the city. At this point, the creek is very near 5900 ft above sea level, the lowest point in town.
