This relief sculpture on "travertino" white stone is on the far end of a mass-transit building used as a metro (subway) station in Rome, Italy. Dating to 1938, it shows the hailmarks of Fascist ideals: Fatherland, Family, Labor. Sculptor is Antonio Biggi (1904-1966).

Please do not photograph while standing INSIDE the station. Apparently the police will yell at anyone doing so. But once stepped outside the station, into the outdoor sidewalks, you are allowed to photograph all you want. Apparently there is a new law that applies to all mass-transit venues in the city to curtail suspect behavior.
