Spring of mineral water Novomestská kyselka was discovered by the local blacksmith Legler around 1870. Kyselka is maintained by the Nové Mesto pod Smrkem Municipal Office and the improvements of the spring and its surroundings are cared by the Civic Association of Residents. The spring should predominantly serve visitors for their refreshing, secondarily it is the source of mineral water for personal consumption. According the Institute of Balneology, the mineral water is suitable for daily consumption in the amount of 1 liter.
