This mausoleum commemorates the life and work of Reverand Seymour Mills Spencer and his wife Ellen, with the people of Te Arawa. In 1844 they brought Christianity to the area, establishing a mission station on this point named Kariri and later moved.
History: Built in 1926 & renovated in 1981.
Visiting Hours/Restrictions: Open any time - access is quite difficult with no formed paths - would not advise trying to visit after dark.
