These set of chimes stands in the garden of a museum outside the township of Putaruru. Visitors are welcome to play a tune using the attached wooden mallets to hit this unusual percussion instrument. The objects made from old machinery parts actually render a lovely deep musical chiming sound... and very loudly too!
