Caroline Sink hole lies near the edge of a 20,000 square kilometre area known as the Limestone Coast, which is dotted with many Karst features.

The sink hole is about 50 metres in diameter and has a walkway built out from the edge so you can walk out over the edge of the hole.
Archaeologists have excavated evidence of habitation by the local Bunganditj Aboriginal people, who probably used it as a shelter.
The hole was used for irrigation by Europeans when they first settled the area. The water table has since dropped, drying the bottom of the sink hole.
Access is easy with good gravel roads to a car park less than a hundred metres away
