The American River Parkway stretches over 20 miles from the Center of Sacramento to the East (to Nimbus Dam). In Discovery park are picnics areas, boat ramps, and the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. Entrance to the park is $5 per car. It's open 6am to dusk.
