How often do you park your car, open the door, look down and find a waymark? I would have never noticed these if not for reading the category just yesterday; Thanks for keeping my eyes open to the weird little details of life! I would speculate that this sidewalk was poured when the parking garage was finished; see the wide shot for context. The concrete must have been almost set when these were made, because they hold good detail, but are only about 1/4 inch deep.
