The first boundary stone shows WD44, refers to the war department and is one of 46 similar stones used to mark out the Willsworthy firing range. They date from when the army purchased its first tract of land, virtually following the line of the old Willsworthy Manor in about 1900.
The other stone marks the boundary of the former Willsworthy Manor.
