Chattooga River US Route 76 Overlook, Trail Head and Access - Oconee County, SC - National Wild and Scenic Rivers on Waymarking.com

On the south side of US Route 76 on the South Carolina side of the Chattooga River, visitors will find a small overlook area to park and gander at the Chattooga.

On the north side there is a parking area allowing visitors to hike along the Chattooga Ridge Trail or (for the more experienced) drop in a kayak. There is a pedestrian element on the US Route 76 bridge providing trail access to both sides of the river.

Elsewhere along the river, whitewater rafting companies offer thrills of a lifetime on the river.
