Old chimney. One of the last remains of a Sugar Cane Destilery.
In this place, António Rodrigues Braz established in 23-03-1909 a Sugar Cane Destilery .
The destilery was demolished at the end of the eighties to reform the beach area.
The beach had some improvements, a road was build and the remaining space was converted into a Municipal Park with benches and picnic tables. The chimney remained and was recovered as well as some of the old machinery.
