Laying in the parkland just outside the main gardens the Conduit House supplied water to the main house, as well as acting as a shelter from the rain.
It is a fine building also known as the Gothic Umbrello. It was restored in 2002 with the Gothic windows and slate roof being repaired. Sitting on top of the source of a stream with an underground chamber acting as a cistern the house shines brightly with its lime washed walls. A coat of arms to the Marquess of Buckingham, dated 1793, lies above the entrance door.
