These steps are not obvious at first glance; they have been built into the traditional Dartmoor stone wall. They are not used now as the footpath which the steps served is about 10 paces along the wall, a nice new gate has been put in its place. The path runs through Peter Tavy Combe from the village towards Smeardon Down.
