Point Marion Lock and Dam is located on the Monongahela River just north of the PA/WV border. The posted coordinates take you to a service platform on the spillway side of the structure. It can be accessed by parking at the Point Marion Little League baseball field. N: 39° 43.878’ W: 79° 54.285’ then walking up the street towards Houze Glass Factory and accessing the old train right of way which leads past the factory. The walk is just under ½ mile. It can also be accessed from the Morgantown WV Rail to Trail by passing the gate at the state line and continuing on the trail for about ½ mile.
