Per the TEHCC.org website, Mountaineer Falls shelter was constructed in 2006 by the TEHCC during the Hard Core event (thru hikers from Damascus Days event in May). It is located 200 feet off the AT on a marked blue blaze trail. Nearest access points are 2-3 miles away. It can sleep 14 people. Water source is about 400 feet from shelter. There is a fire circle.
