Perk's is a great place to order a warm drink and just chill out with friends or even to read a while. On three nights, you can listen to up and coming bands or solo artists.

Perk's is a true coffee house (not a chain of folk music venues typically in church halls that are in New England). There is COFFEE. You can choose from all sorts of ways you can have a caffeinated beverage served, from straight coffee, to long leaf tea, cappuccino, espresso (including prices for quad shots), and hot chocolate. Of course, there are non-caffeinated drinks, but the selection is not as wide - the best is the lime rickey. There are cakes, muffins, and other deserts that can go with your beverage. They also offer pizza, soups and sandwiches.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, there is music. These are either up and coming artists, or artists who don't have a big name, so don't expect to see Aerosmith or Jewell to be there, although someone formerly from The Mighty Bosstones played there, and there was a soloist who just had his song on an HBO documentary. Check the Myspace link provided, which will have the artists listed (be prepared for late changes).

On many Friday nights, you might find me there. I'm the one usually playing Milbourne.
