The Aztec Museum offers many displays of early western life. Car 313 replica made from a wooden boxcar.In 1905 the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad had a standard rail constructed between Durango and Aztec. Aztec became the shipping point for hundreds of head of sheep and cattle.
Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday. Admission if $3 for adults, $1 for children age 12-17 and children younger than 12 are free.
