So that is my opinion, but how many architects can build this today without a computer? And have it so that when the sun shines in the oculus at a certain time of day, it encircles the alter??? Hmm??

The height to the oculus and the diameter of the interior circle are the same, 142 ft. To learn more, please go visit it in Roma. It's the best way to fully appreciate its splendor.
