The seats are wrought ironwork with the following ornately designed into them:

'Frederick Ancell founder Ancell Trust 1923'

Unfortunately we can't find any information on this trust and would be pleased to be enlightened by future visitors. It would appear that the sports ground is indebted to this trust as the gates and benches bear this name.
