The picture shows Corfe Castle; an ancient castle in the Purbecks of Dorset. It was created on a sunny day whilst sitting on a mound beneath a gorse bush. There were interested cows all around and male Dragontree sat patiently nearby.
Using oil paints is female Dragontree's favourite medium and the painting uses different colours to enhance the landscape and create a dramatic scene. The castle is instantly recognisable and the grass sweeps along the hillside beneath the clear, spring sky.
