Yellowstone has boardwalks around geysers, mudpots, and other geothermal areas that keep the tourists safe. You can feel the heat around you, but are right up close to the unusual basins and other formations that are colorful to visit. The boardwalk curves around this geyser, and originates at Old Faithful Geyser, which is just 1000 feet to the south. Overall, miles of boardwalks are in the Park.
