He died the death of those who for their country die, sink on her bosom to repose triumphant where they lie.

In memory of Lance Corporal John Harry Anning of the 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen killed in action at Koppiesfontein 5th Africa. 6th Aug. 1901. Born at Morningside 15th Novr. 1882. Erected by his friends and comrades.
