The Mees Observatory near the summit of Mt. Haleakala on the island of Maui, Hawaii, has a fully equipped weather station. With highly variable weather here, this is an important station for the researchers and population alike.

The observatory and weather station area is NOT part of the Haleakala National Park and is CLOSED to visitors. Coordinates are taken at the entrance gate.
