Located at 1126 Washington Street north of downtown, this fire station is keeping with great architecture available in Columbus, Indiana. The station was dedicated in November 1941. (brochure) It was designed by Leighton Bowers in 1941 in the Art Nouveau style with simple lines of buff brick, limestone, glass and stainless steel. (tourism website)
