Rolston Cemetery is located on two acres donated by Louis Rolston Jr. back in the 1870's. Louis was a Cherokee Indian born in Georgia on Sept. 10, 1838. He joined the Federal army and was involved the battles of Pine Ridge and Springfield. Louis Rolston died on March 19, 1904 and is buried in this cemetery. There are approximately 1000 other gravesites at this cemetery including my great uncle, my grandparents, a great grand mother and my great-great grandparents. This cemetery, of course, is a very special place for me.
