Paired with a Long John Silvers, this A&W Restaurant serves the busy through-traffic off of Interstate 55 and the town of Litchfield, Illinois. Litchfield is the town that is halfway between Sprinfield, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri, so it is a popular location.
The restaurant itself does not look like it was originally an A&W restaurant. It appears it was converted into an A&W and the Long John Silver's sign and menu was added on later.
The menu was a full A&W selection. The restaurant was clean and service was prompt.
This restaurant does have a drive-thru window.
Any old memories or additional comments?: As a child, my family would eventually find their way to an A&W while on vacation. That meant only one thing to me... a root beer float!
