This is a beautiful example of mosaic and sculpture. It serves both as an example of art and advertising for the smokehouse.

Follow the mosaics depicting the legend of the Salmon of Knowledge!
The first one is high up on our outside wall. Here the Salmon can be seen feeding on the acorns of Knowledge.
At the entrance to the Visitor Centre he can be seen leaping out of the water - our fountain!
Inside a full wall is covered with mosaics, showing the final part of the legend, where Fionn MacCool having tasted the Salmon of Knowledge gains all the wisdom.
These fantastic mosaics were designed and created by the Irish sculptor and artist Vincent Browne.
