Trail Description:
The park itself has about 10 miles of dual track loop trails. Surface is natural and includes packed gravel, rocky spots, clay, and sand.
Shares trail with hikers and equestrians. Lots of wildlife and travels through diverse ecosystems. The trailway is 20 miles long and was an old railine. goes from downtown Mineral Wells to Weatherford and has a connecting spur to the State Park.
Surface is highly improved and the trail has a whole bunch of improvements like 4 trailheads with paved parking, water, restooms, and informational kiosks. There are about 15 or 16 bridges over pretty creekways and one new bridge over a four-lane highway. The trail is great for families, beginers, and folks wanting to train or exercise. It even goes by a McDonalds. Nothing like it in Texas!
