This historic site is no longer used as a church. By 2006 the congregation had dwindled to 30-35 members. The last service at the building was held in January 2006. The remaining members moved their services to a nearby synagogue. The site was sold for development in 2007. A new 8-story, 38-unit condominium will replace the parking lot, gymnasium, community house, and two small apartment buildings on the site. The fate of the church remains in the air. Different options for renovation include a restaurant, an office building, or an interfaith center. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the time of our visit the building appeared to be undergoing renovation.
