The Lycoming county prison was built around 1800, and was rebuild in 1867 after a fire. After overcrowding a new prison opened in 1986 several blocks away. This building was sold in 2001 and is now a dance club. The pillory still sits out front of the building. Also check out the stone wall that surounds the entire complex, very cool! I didn't find any online sources on the pillory, but I left a link that has information on the prison.
