It appeared on his 1978 album "Son of a Son of a Sailor" and was released as a single, reaching #32 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Cheeseburger in Paradise" has become one of Buffett's best-known songs and was selected as the first track on his greatest hits album "Songs You Know by Heart"
Right on the south Pacific shore of Maui, a paradise if ever there was one. This one is not part of the chain on the US mainland, but was started by a couple of travelers from the midwest after seeing the potential for a good burger in the tourist town. They serve their burgers "Island Style" - with fresh grilled pineapple on top. And they have a full bar that serves the favorite "Sex on the Beach".
