The popular mountain walk of The Kentmere Horseshoe is a 12 mile walk and visits 8 mountain summits.
The walk is normally started from the old church at Kentmere village,
The walk starts by taking the Garburn Pass trail before joining the ridge at the pass summit then after a mile or so and a climb of a further 900 feet of climbing Yoke summit is reached, the first mountain top on the round walk.
The view is excellent as the range is on the far Eastern side of the Lake District, therefore to the West the Scafells are on display.
