Glenridding Dodd can be conveniently climbed from Stybarrow Crag layby which is a quarter of a mile from the village of Glenridding,what's more the parking is free here.
Glenridding Dodd has a heathery summit and is a great view point for the Lake of Ullswater,not to mention the surrounding mountains of the High Street range to the far east,and to the near East on the far side of Ullswater,Place Fell can be seen in all it's glory,Looking SSW is a magnificent view of Helvellyn standing at 3118 feet high,and one of the highest mountains in The Lake District.
