This trigpoint stands atop the tallest of five barrows, and marks the highest point in North Devon and the highest point on Landranger 180. It is also the highest surviving trigpoint on Exmoor since the OS have removed the one on Dunkery Hill. Exmoor's highest dewpond can also be found a short walk away. There are excellent views across to Dartmoor, the upper Mole valley and Hartland Point. It's fairly easy to get to, since there's space to park on the road to the north, opposite the gate which gives access. However, be sure to wear trousers in warmer weather as ticks may be present.
Type of Trigpoint: Triangulation Pillar

Condition: Good

Number on Flush Bracket: S5431
